Do you still just watch or do you experience TV? First-round winners can do both. After all, the 40” LCD TVs they took home with them make shows and movies go straight from their eyes to their hearts.

Resting on their laurels isn’t an option for anyone wanting to shape the future of television. Although the first-round winners of the Interactive TV Award have just been announced, the next challenge is already awaiting the remaining participants.

The next step toward the future

The final ten competitors are fully motivated to conquer their newest task – developing a prototype that will bring their concept and its user-benefits to life. The first developer workshops are the start of an exciting period in the road to the next jury decision on July 9, 2008. All ten concepts have the potential to become new applications on the Deutsche Telekom IPTV platform.

Although devising and describing a concept is a significant step in the innovation process, it is just the first step. The coming weeks will show if the participants are able to convert their visions into a viable innovation for the future.
